Missouri Medicare Providers - The Basics

We will briefly go over the choices available for each type of plan option. Also, you will have a chance to browse plans currently available to you. For a more in depth explanation, request a consultation with our Medicare Broker Benjamin.

Missouri Medicare Advantage Providers

The following list includes all Medicare Advantage providers in Missouri. That said, depending on your county and zip code, not all carriers may be available. In fact, in more rural counties, there can be a much smaller selection available. This can be a setback or disadvantage to choosing a Medicare Advantage plan while living in a rural area. With that said, it is still more than worth looking in to. In fact, if everything ‘fits in place’ with your doctors, hospitals, and medications, Medicare Advantage plans can save you thousands annually. Without further adieu, here is the list:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem BlueCross BlueShield
  • Cigna
  • Devoted Health
  • Essence Healthcare
  • Humana
  • UnitedHealthcare
  • Wellcare

You can view our currently offered plans in your zip code by visiting our online enrollment portal here.

Part D Providers in Missouri

Compared to Advantage options, Missouri has a smaller selection for stand alone Part D plans. The only available choices in 2025 are Aetna (Silver Script), Cigna, Humana, United Healthcare, and Wellcare. The monthly premium for these plans can range from $0 with Wellcare Value Script all the way to $142 a month for the Humana Premier RX plan.

Although tempting, the more expensive plans do not necessarily cover you any better than even the $0 premium plans. It really all depends on your medications and personal situation as to which would be best for you. Feel free to schedule a call with Benjamin to go over your situation.

Supplement Carriers

As you may know, in Missouri Medicare supplements are offered by private insurance companies. Moreover, they have a standardized coverage based on their designated plan letter. Unlike Advantage plans, Medigap plans do not sign yearly contracts with the federal government. Companies enter and leave the market at a quicker pace than Advantage plans (since Advantage plans have yearly contracts with CMS).

I’ve included a quick quote tool below this paragraph so you can see a current quote. This tool includes all available supplement companies and accurate prices for your zip code (before any included discounts).

It truly takes having a good understanding of your needs, expectations and current situation to be able to recommend what would be a good fit.
